Bonnie McEachren is an artist from Greenville, South Carolina. She will attend Kansas City Art Institute in the fall of 2017.
Prior to graduating, she attended the Fine Arts Center, a public arts high school. Her work functions as votive and talismanic objects to be worn and performed in. The corporeal pinks in her work merge with the flesh of the wearer, becoming bodily extensions. Plushness of fiber-based materials in combination with metal allows these extensions to transform into an organic armor that molds to the body’s form while also protecting it.
