Amanda Shirlow is a multi-disciplinary artist based in the North Coast of Northern Ireland and received her BA in Humanities with Art History at Open University in 2014.
A statement from the artist about her work –
Ever since I was little I have been fascinated with films like The Borrowers imagining what it would be like if among our giant world tiny little people were going about their day, in secret with humanity carrying on unaware. With this project I like to alter peoples perception by mixing the large scale everyday objects with miniature figures to create larger than life scenarios for these tiny people. Hidden away from society blink and you could miss them.
