Sadie Mallon is an artist currently studying at Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.
A direct link can be made between Sadie's photography and her childhood. She learned to be vulnerable, sensitive and empathetic at an early age through growing up with an alcoholic parent Witnessing her parent’s continuous cycle of recovery and relapses gave her a unique understanding of emotions. It became apparent that the only way to recover was through releasing fears of vulnerability and allowing themselves to open up and accept help. Today, Sadie has grown up and away from her parent, but she is still left with the strong desire to encourage vulnerability in the hopes of healing others.
