Kate Hanna is a 22 year old Philadelphia-based photographer and artist who received her BFA in Photography from the University of the Arts.
She works primarily with photography but has been experimenting with combining collage and other crafts into her art. Her most recent project, Internal, External, is an exploration of a disease she has called lupus. The disease is hard to diagnose and even harder to recognize on a person. In this project, Hanna is experimenting with ways to make her disease visible - to make the internal, external - by combining self-portraiture and imagery of cells effected by lupus.
