Alyse Ruriani is an artist, designer, and mental health advocate. In May 2017, she received her BFA in Graphic Design, with a minor in Culture & Politics and a concentration in Book Arts, from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore, MD.
Alyse works in mixed media and enjoys taking graphic design beyond the screen. She believes in the relationship between art and healing, and has a passion for using art and design as a catalyst for change. Her personal art work revolves around exploring the human experience, evoking emotion, making sense of her place in the world, and reflecting upon the dichotomies in life. In fall 2017, Alyse will be attending the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) for their Masters in Art Therapy & Counseling program.
